The Count's entire body trembled violently.

Transcendents instinctively hid their intimidating aura to win the favor of a Purifier. They showed a docile attitude not only to the Purifier but also to their families.

Therefore, this was the first time the Count had experienced it. The overwhelming hostility and intimidation of the monsters directed at him.

His lungs constricted, making even breathing feel like a struggle. Like a frog in front of a snake, only the survival instinct to escape this place dominated his mind.

[Count] "If the noble beasts of God wait here, I will leave this place and—"

He barely squeezed out a voice. But what returned was a cold warning.

[Johan] "Shut your mouth and sit down, Count. If you leave my sight, you will die on the spot immediately."

The Count was startled. Because the one who spat out those words was none other than Johan.

Is the one making a voice like a tyrant really the Crown Prince who was always so upright?

The terrified Count quietly obeyed the warning.

As the subordinates had fled following their instincts, only the Count and the Transcendents remained in the office.

Due to the menacing presence of the Transcendents, the Count failed to notice, but in fact, they were in a state of extreme anxiety and unease.

[Odette] "Don't touch my body as you please ever again. And don't interfere in my life as you please either."

It was because of the cold attitude and voice Odette had shown. Because they had never seen her draw a line like that before.

Zion, Johan, and Viktor. All three had many people under their command. So they had already grasped her whereabouts. Even the fact that she had left the capital with Karl.

Nevertheless, the reason they all chose to officially visit the Count's estate and wait was that they were afraid Odette might rebuke them. Afraid that if she found out they were tracking her without permission, she would push them outside the line again.

An attitude that suddenly turned cold without reason. Leaving alone with a slave. She leaned her back comfortably against the slave's chest.

A Purifier was stolen by someone who wasn't even a Transcendent. All three were at the end of their patience, suppressing their abilities that threatened to run wild with jealousy.

In the midst of that, hearing such abusive language from the Count...

Johan glared at the Count and ground his teeth. Grind.

[Odette] "Salvation that comes too late is not salvation. Your Highness, I no longer wait for someone to pull me out of hell, nor do I need it."

She didn't want the Transcendents to be involved in the affairs of the Count's estate.

So I didn't intervene and suppressed my hostility in front of the Count, pretending to know nothing.

Seeing the treatment Odette would have received with his own eyes was a shock of a completely different dimension from receiving a report. His inner ability endlessly incited the impulse to tear that disgusting bastard to death right now.

No need to bring her back unharmed? Torture? Where on earth is there a place to lay a hand on that small child?

Veins bulged on the back of Johan's hand as he clenched his fist tightly to suppress his killing intent.

Why was it so difficult to endure whenever Odette was involved?

Chivalry, military law, commandments. He felt as if he had built up his patience only to collapse all at once in front of her.

The Empire was shaken greatly by the miracle Odette created. The imperial citizens changed their attitude toward her in an instant, as if flipping a palm. They praised her even more passionately than when Odette first awakened at the age of 15.

The Pope and High Priests, who had constantly attacked Odette for neglecting her duties as a Saintess, praised her every time they gave a sermon. Those who witnessed the miracle of the Rothbart River added their voices to the praise.

The Imperial Family scattered gold coins celebrating Odette's re-awakening, and reporters who claimed she "made excessive demands on the Imperial Family and engaged in luxury and waste" changed the target of their criticism, saying, "If she is such a great daughter of God, it was a deserved demand, yet the Imperial Family refused."

Gossip rags that spread gossip about Odette closed their doors under the attacks of the crowd.

During the week celebrating Odette's feast day, songs and firecrackers didn't stop in all regions.

As if they had never pointed fingers at her, calling her a villainess, as if everyone had only ever loved Odette.

However, the Temple and the Imperial Family there was one fact they didn't announce at all because everyone was busy figuring out how to use the miracle.

The fact that contact had been completely cut off since Odette left with the slave, even Count Albrecht didn't know where his daughter was, and that she was virtually missing.

And on the seventh day of her disappearance, a telegram arrived for the Count. It was Odette's telegram announcing that she was at the villa in Meursault.

Meursault Beach is famous for its very unique terrain. Looking at the map, it was a terrain bordered by the sea on the right and surrounded by a crescent-shaped mountain range on the left.

Because of that, Meursault Beach bordered a sheer cliff. Most villas were located on the flat beach between the mountain range and the sea.

However, Count Albrecht's "Meursault Villa" alone was built on top of the cliff bordering that sea. In a perilous location that could only be reached by climbing a high mountain.

The reason Odette lied that she grew up here when she was young was also due to that. Because there were no witnesses in the mansion built on that sheer mountain, few people visited.

So this makes no sense.

Having finished her long journey and just arrived at the villa, she wore an absurd expression.

It hasn't even been 10 minutes since I sent the telegram, so how...

Because Zion was already sitting inside the villa. And in the bedroom where she intended to lay her body.

[Zion] "You're late? Albrecht."

[Odette] "How... here... Why have you entered someone else's villa? And someone else's bedroom at that..."

[Zion] "You aren't planning to kick me out mercilessly, are you? I haven't slept a wink since you left."

No matter if he is an S-class Transcendent, he can't cover this distance in 10 minutes.

It was clear he had departed before she sent the telegram. That meant he had attached someone to her.

Guessing the situation, she burst into a hollow laugh.

[Odette] "I believe I clearly told you not to interfere?"

[Zion] "Until you sent the telegram, I didn't interfere for a week, did I? I even let the trip with that damned Fenrir be."

Very brazenly, his tone implied that he was the one being lenient.

[Zion] "Don't make such a cold expression, Albrecht. I just came because I wanted to check if your body is okay. I also brought information that would be helpful to you."

[Odette] "Please return. Because I do not want to be entangled with Your Excellency anymore."

However, she replied coldly to his words. Now that she didn't need to care about Loathing, she had no reason to tolerate his presence anymore.

Zion furrowed his brow and examined her teal eyes closely. Then, with an expression of realizing something, he hardened his mouth.

[Zion] "You..."

He looked shocked, uncharacteristically. At that moment, Karl stepped forward.

[Karl] "Master, please give the order to dispose of the intruder."

Then he prepared to attack Zion immediately. Putting strength into his fingers as if he would kill him right away.

What's wrong with this guy again? Dispose, what dispose?

Odette, who disliked things getting bigger, soothed him.

[Odette] "Forget it, Karl. He isn't even worth it."

But for some reason, Zion's mood seemed properly twisted by her words.

[Zion] "Albrecht, can you make me this upset? What if I suddenly want to ruin all your revenge plans because of that?"

Seeing him utter an obvious threat.

Although he pretended to be relaxed, in fact, Zion was gauging her reaction the entire time he faced her. Like a dog whining and gauging its master's mood.

Because he realized. The deep indifference contained in her teal eyes. The fact that someone like him didn't exist in her consideration.

Why on earth?

It wasn't like her, who used to try to gauge him and choose words carefully. He couldn't accept her sudden change.

[Odette] "Then... it is only Your Excellency. The person who can genuinely understand and help me..."

Didn't you say I was the only one who could understand your vengefulness?

Am I not your only sympathizer? How can you look at me with such indifferent eyes?

He likes Odette. At the same time, he feels a base desire for her.

Even knowing the feeling of those two things was the same as the father he despised so much, Zion willingly endured that state.

After doing all that, what do you mean by looking at me with these eyes?

In the midst of that, seeing a wolf pup block his front as if protecting Odette made it even more absurd.

Would I hurt her?

How dare the bastard most dangerous to her? While not even knowing what existence a Purifier is to a Transcendent...

The reason he uttered a threat he didn't mean was also that he wanted to find other emotions from her, even if he had to provoke her.

[Zion] "Hmm? Is it okay if I tell the Count everything?"

Fortunately, it was worth it. Because her indifference turned into coldness. Being despised was better than indifference. Only then did he feel a little relieved.

[Odette] "Go outside the room, Karl."

She ordered him with a face that had become even colder.
