You stayed quiet when it was Zion? Why do you only block Johan?

The Status Window didn't answer her question.

[Starting transport to the Albrecht Mansion!]

It simply moved Odette and the group to the middle of the mansion's garden, acting as if it hadn't heard a word.

[Servant] "Aaaagh!"

[Servant] "Ghosts! It's a ghost!"

The servants in the garden shrieked at the group appearing out of thin air. Their loud cries ruined the moment Johan intended to speak.

[Viktor] "Stop the fuss. Do you want me to give you a real reason to scream?"

His sharp voice cut through the chaos, though his aggressive tone hardly counted as "organizing" the situation.

Odette looked away from Johan and focused on the Status Window.

Are you worried about Johan?

She wondered if this was Karl's honest feelings surfacing. Still, the Status Window remained silent. It acted like a child caught in a lie—or perhaps it felt afraid.

Status Window?

She called out gently, but no response came.

After a moment of silence, the system displayed a message that had nothing to do with her question, clearly trying to change the subject.

[Time elapsed between ‘Falling into Calamity’ and ‘Return’: 7 Days]

You react like a living, breathing person.

Even before the deep sea, Odette suspected the system possessed emotions. Now, it felt like a fully developed being. Karl's returning memories and strengthening ego clearly influenced this fragment of his soul.

Since it clearly refused to answer, she stopped pushing and changed her question.

Seven days? It only felt like half a day in there.

She couldn't ignore this news.

[Time flows much slower near the World Tree.]

Odette frowned, looking around the garden.

When the Calamity first appeared, its pulling force had turned the grounds into a wreck. Now, workers had gathered the scattered mud. The broken walls and floors of the first floor remained unfinished, but someone had covered the damage with cloth. It definitely didn't look like the work of just half a day.

[Servant] "Y-you’re alive......? We thought you died long ago......"

The cautious reactions of the servants confirmed it.

Above all, the sight of Mrs. Becker proved that significant time had passed. She stood in the garden, wearing a flashy dress and barking orders at the staff as if she already owned the place.

*****

Mrs. Becker savored every moment of the past week.

Seven days ago, a Calamity appeared in the basement dungeon of the mansion. It happened right after the Crown Prince and Colonel König smashed through the walls and floors.

Because of the damage, the Calamity sucked in Odette and the Transcendents, then proceeded to ruin the garden.

Sasha's precious garden, which she had spent years grooming, became a graveyard of twisted plants.

Most citizens in the capital already knew this much from rumors. However, Mrs. Becker found another clue in front of the storage room on the top floor.

A Calamity appeared in that hallway, too.

The wooden floors in front of the storage room looked as if a typhoon had ripped them apart. Since that day, no one had seen the Count, Paula, or Malea. The conclusion was simple.

The Calamity appeared in that hall and swallowed all three of them!

While she felt a brief pang for her "benefactor," Malea, the disappearance of the Count mattered more.

Ulrich. That bastard is finally dead!

A week without a single word from the Count supported her theory.

She pretended to be cautious, telling others they should "wait for the Master to return," but in her heart, she already wore the crown of the Dowager Countess.

Ferdinand dies, and then the Count dies right after? What a stroke of luck! My son will become the Count the moment he enters the family registry.

She had achieved everything without lifting a finger. She no longer hated the broken walls or the ruined garden.

Most people would be terrified of a Calamity appearing inside a capital mansion—many servants had already fled in fear—but Mrs. Becker felt only gratitude.

It is a divine punishment. It cleaned away all the people I didn't need! The Calamity was a blessing from heaven!

The bright future awaiting her as the Count's mother outweighed any lingering fear of another disaster. Joy surged through her. She had finally achieved the status she craved.

No high-ranking servants remained, not even the butler. Most of the long-term staff had left. Mrs. Becker was now the person who had stayed at the mansion the longest.

As the mother of the next Count, the mansion had become her kingdom. The remaining servants reached the same conclusion and competed to flatter her.

Seven days passed. Today was the day she planned to officially declare the Count dead.

And then, like a new disaster, the group returned.

Even for missing persons, the Metropolitan Guard doesn't usually issue a death certificate within a week. However, the law made an exception for those caught in a Calamity. Today was the day the mansion would legally fall into her hands......

How did they...? If you fall into a Calamity, you're supposed to die!'

To Mrs. Becker, their return was an absolute nightmare.

*****

One week.

Odette worried that losing seven days might ruin her plans.

Should I have left the Count to die? I should have just let Rosalin eat him.

Her revenge was in its final stages. Sasha's inevitable explosion of rage was the final key.

Just as she wondered if bringing the Count back was a waste of time, a notification appeared.

[The World Tree grants a prophecy to Odette!]

[‘Laurel Crown of Light’ is active.]

A scene unfolded before her eyes like a vivid movie.

[Sasha] "Paula! How dare you lie to me?! There is a limit to being sly! You dared to give me a fake ring?"

Sasha looked ready to kill Paula. She held the blue diamond ring and a pawnshop appraisal. It was the very ring Damian had swapped earlier. The vision vanished as soon as Sasha finished her scream.

Odette knew this future would happen within minutes.

That was a prophecy, wasn't it?

[Holy and Kind Ally of the Divine Tree]

[Savior of Yggdrasil]

Odette had dismissed the titles as dramatic fluff, but the World Tree clearly considered her a true "friend." It showed her the future just to be helpful, even for something as small as this.

I appreciate it, but... is it okay to use a great prophecy on such a trivial matter?'

[The World Tree tells you to save your thanks.]

[Hey! Friends don’t act so humble!]

A bit casual for a divine representative, isn't it?

Just as she considered the World Tree's unpredictable personality, a commotion broke out at the mansion entrance, proving the prophecy correct.

Sasha's voice shrieked from a distance.

[Sasha] "Paula! Where is Paula? Bring her to me!"

[Gatekeeper] "Former Countess! Please, you can't do this!"

The gatekeeper's panicked voice followed right behind her.
